Meet Our Staff

Renee Dumont, Shelter Manager

renee for websiteRenee started with the Faxon Animal Care & Adoption Center as a dog socializing volunteer in July of 2001 and later joined the staff as project coordinator in October of 2002. Shortly after, she added volunteer coordinator to the array of things she was doing.  Renee became the shelter manager in 2007. In her spare time she’s with her husband and their menagerie of pets, which include slithering, winged & 4 legged furries.

Animal Care Givers:

An animal care giver is responsible for the day-to-day care of the shelter animals, which includes anything and everything, such as, cleaning cages, feeding, medicating, watching for health issues, watching for signs of stress in the animals, getting to know the animals as individuals so they can inform the adopters of the best fit for their families, showing the animals when people come in to meet them, trimming nails, brushing, screening for FELV/FIV, food evaluations, temperament testing, cleaning ears, keeping the grounds neat, cleaning floors, windows, laundry, dishes, working events, selling raffle tickets, training dogs, working with volunteers, and so much more.
